About me
Marcia cannot remember when she began
being an active athlete, but feels it may have started when she practiced Taekwondo and attained a black belt level after 6 yrs.
She distinctly remembers, during her time with the Canadian Armed forces, that she fell in love with athletics. It was at that time
she realized the importance of being fit, when deployed into a cloud of operations where striving to be as fit as possible became imperative. While serving in the Canadian Armed forces as a Reservist, Marcia became a part of the 32 Military Police Platoon and
stayed on for ten and a half years.
During her tenure with the Reserves, she was deployed to
Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2004, Kandahar Afghanistan in 2006-2007, and again in 2008-2009. During her first Afghan
tour of duty, Marcia competed in the Kandahar Airfield Women’s strength competition and placed second amongst all NATO serving Nations.
Since, she has run 2 Marathons, numerous Half-Marathons, 2 30k, 10, and 5s. Further, Marcia is an Elite competitor in Obstacle Course Racing having a few podium finishes for 2015 season.

Marcia is also an active participant with "CSDC" Dragonboat team, who compete competitively in and around the GTA during the summer season, and are Sen A National Gold medalists 2014. In addition, Marcia has helped "Battle Dragons" and other Dragon Boat teams win Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.
Marcia attributes her athleticism to a healthy lifestyle including a healthy diet, regular exercise, regular Massage and Chiropractic treatments, a good night’s sleep and a positive attitude. Having chosen these for herself routinely has allowed her to maintain balance even with a hectic schedule and past injuries.
Marcia completed her Personal Trainer Specialist Certification through CANFITPRO and is excited to share her passion for health and fitness with everyone she trains. She believes in helping
others attain their goals, just as she has.
Her mantra is “anything is possible you just have to believe in yourself”.
